Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about working with Studio Reverie — from booking and pricing to what to expect on the day.
- Where is Studio Reverie located, and what areas do you serve?
- Studio Reverie Photography is a boutique studio based in Colgate, Wisconsin. Mia serves families and couples throughout the greater Milwaukee area — including Washington, Ozaukee, and Waukesha counties and towns such as Germantown, Cedarburg, Menomonee Falls, Hartland, and Brookfield. As a by-appointment, home-based studio, every session is arranged personally rather than at a walk-in storefront.
- What types of photography does Studio Reverie offer?
- Mia specializes in heirloom family portraits, children and newborn sessions, high school senior portraits, and weddings. Every session is designed to become finished wall art and albums — not just digital files on a hard drive.
- What makes Studio Reverie different from other photographers?
- Studio Reverie is a boutique, full-service experience rather than a shoot-and-share service. Mia guides you through every step — from the first conversation to the artwork on your wall — and specializes in timeless, emotive images made to become heirlooms. The focus is on how the photographs make you feel, and on printed art your family will treasure for generations.
- How much does a session or wedding cost?
- Every experience is custom, so pricing depends on the type of session and the artwork you choose to create. Studio Reverie is a boutique studio, and most clients invest in a combination of wall art, albums, and digital images. Mia will walk you through the full pricing guide during your initial consultation — reach out through the contact page for current investment details.
- Do I receive digital images, or is this a print-based studio?
- Studio Reverie is a full-service, print-based studio. Rather than simply handing over a folder of files, Mia guides you in creating gallery-quality wall art and heirloom albums meant to last for generations. Digital images are available as part of select collections and are reviewed together at your in-person image reveal and ordering appointment.
- How long until we receive our photos?
- For weddings, you'll receive a sneak peek within a few days, and your full gallery and album design are revealed in person within four to six weeks. Portrait clients return for an in-person image reveal and ordering appointment shortly after the session, where you'll see your images for the first time and choose your artwork.
- What should we wear for our session?
- You're never left guessing. Mia personally guides you through wardrobe, styling, and what to bring before every session, so your images feel cohesive and timeless and you can simply relax and be together.
- Do you travel for weddings and sessions?
- Yes. While Studio Reverie is based in Colgate, Wisconsin, Mia regularly travels throughout southeastern Wisconsin and beyond for weddings and portrait sessions. Destination and out-of-area weddings are welcome — just reach out with your date and location.
- How far in advance should we book?
- Because Mia takes a limited number of clients each year, booking early is encouraged. Weddings are often reserved twelve months or more in advance, and portrait sessions typically book a few weeks out, with fall dates filling quickly. If your date is approaching, reach out and Mia will let you know what's available.
- How do we book a session or wedding?
- It starts with a simple message through the contact page. Mia responds personally, and for weddings she'll set up a connection call to talk through your vision. When you're ready, you'll receive a contract and invoice through a secure booking system; a signed agreement and deposit officially reserve your date.
